DATA

The Dearborn Area Theatre Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded for the purpose of supporting and encouraging community and scholastic theatre in the greater Dearborn, Michigan area. This includes but is not limited to, annual recognition for artistic achievements and excellence, as well as scholarships for eligible high school senior DATA members.

Created in 2002, the Mission of the Dearborn Area Theatre Association (DATA) is to support, promote, and develop theatre and the theatre arts in the communities of Dearborn and Dearborn Heights, Michigan.

DATA oversees the annual DATA Awards (Formerly the Dearborn Press and Guide Newspaper Entertainment (PAGE) Awards) for Theatrical Excellence, produces the annual DATA Awards Celebration and Ceremony and maintains the Dearborn Theatre Hall of Fame.

DATA promotes theatre education through the awarding of scholarships to eligible high school seniors and offers theatre seminars and workshops for the entire theatre community.

DATA is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

AS AN ORGANIZATION, DATA RAISES SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING BY:

- Presenting the Random Acts of Theatre / Dinner and A Show Cabaret, an evening of Theatre Performance featuring local adult actors.

- Presenting the DATA Prom, a Thespisan prom specifically for member group high school students in February.

- Fund raising by donating their time locally to coat checking, events and classes for Students, and other community events.

- And supporting the theatre and performing arts community throughout the year.
